Hey I asked to be invited for Google Voice.  Just curious if anybody has this already and what their opinion was of it.

I use it mostly for texting when I'm tethering because if I try to do both I eventually lose my tethering connection.

I got a GV number because I want to give it out to people that I want to control when I communicate with them. I put the number in my contacts and named it Google Voice. So, when I see that on the Incoming Call, I don't answer.

Regardless, I think it's good to get everything that Google offers (except the Nexus) because I want to be included when they take over the world...LOL Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Nope, didn't know that but I hardly get one call per month so it's cool. I use it mostly for texting.

Apparently there is a new plugin that puts the calling and texting feature on the Google Chrome toolbar. I read about it either on Engadget or Techcrunch.

If you are referring to the plugin I mentioned, it's for Google Chrome, which is a desktop browser and according to the article it's available now.
