I have my hotmail, yahoo mail and of course gmail account linked to my phone but it won't allow me to link my Ymail account to the Hero.  Does anyone know how to do this?

** I posted a reply not sure what happened to it

ENter it as a pop mail address

enter in user name and password
then manual enter info

on the incoming mail server type  mail.yahoo.com
security off

then on out going  type smpt.yahoo.com
security off

That should do it

I turned off my wifi and it decided to work again.  That's going to be a negative if it won't work on wifi.

Thats not good.  I would not see how that would make a difference.  Have you tried calling customer service?

Also as a comcast mail holder I don't get immediate pushes I am thinking about forwarding my comcast account to my gmail account and just use the gmail one

Ymail is my primary email.  I even tried to allow Gmail to access my Ymail account so I could get my Ymails through Gmail, but Gmail on my computer won't even grant me access to my Ymail account.

Ok.  This is how it works on my phone.  My yahoo mail works fine until I turn on wifi, then it dies.  I turn off wifi, and it won't work again until I power cycle the phone.  After that it works 100% until I use wifi again.  I think a bug report is in order for this one.

You said your yahoo mail was set up and worked if wifi was on, but do you mean an @yahoo.com address or do you mean an @ymail.com address?  My @yahoo.com address works fine; it is my ymail that isn't able to be set up.

When I first bought the phone, my yahoo email worked on my HERO for just 1 1/2 days!! I tried everything possible and even called Sprint and NOTHING worked! You will most likely have to buy the $20 per year membership Yahoo has!! (Yahoo Mail Plus) I think, in order to continue using Yahoo... Decided to switch to Gmail and had my emails from Yahoo forwarded to my Gmail account.
