Managing two calls at once

I searched the postings and could not find an answer.  When I'm an a call and answer a second call, the first call goes on hold.  No prob.  Then when I end the 2nd call, I don't know how to "disconnect" it.  When I return to the 1st call, it shows that the 2nd call is on hold,  I can switch to the 2nd call (I hear a dial-tone) and I can then switch back to the 1st call.

Whichever call I'm on shows the length of the call and has a greeen indicator and the other call says "On hold" with a yellow indicator.

If I go to END the 2nd call, it ends BOTH calls.

How do I end the 2nd call and return to the 1st call?

Yep, me too. Had this phone since October and I have not resolved this. Basically, my solution is to let the incoming call go to vm, finish the existing call, then call the other person back. If I am feeling adventurous, then I play the game of shuffling two calls and it always ends with both calls being disconnected. This is one of many phones that I have owned that suck at call waiting so I'm used to it and I guess I just don't care.
