Has anyone had any luck setting up their Outlook?  I am trying to use the Exchange Active sync, but it isn't working.  I am using the same info I used on the Instinct for OWA, so I know it works.

On a side note, I am not having any luck setting up AOL or Yahoo email accounts either.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I just set up my yahoo account with no problem. Go to mail, hit thepop mail and put your account and password(thats what I did and worked no problem). I'm sorry I wish I could help more but I don't have an outlook account.

Hi I recently came from the Instinct and was able to sync to my OWA Exchange email with no problems, I cannot get my Hero to sync with Exchange. Everytime I try to access my mail, it bombs on me.  I know my settings, server address, user name password etc, so is there something that I am missing that is preventing me from connecting to my exchange server at work?

Does your company use the internet or intranet?

I am also still trying to set mine up.  Something I heard today was that if your company uses certificates it will not work.  I am waiting to find out from our IT dept if we use certs or not.

*update*
Just got mine to work.  The only thing I did differently was (and this is what I remembered you had to do initially with the Instinct) I went to settings - about phone - system update - and from there I did, in this order 1)update prl 2)update software (there were no updates, not sure if you even have to do this one) and finally 3)update profile.  I went back into the Exchange ActiveSync and put my information in again and it worked.  Hope this helps.

Darn it! I tried these steps and it's still not working for me! Could it be the certificates?

Could be, I also read somewhere to try and turning off the ssl encryption.

I can tell you on the instinct and when I get in using webmail I would have to use webmail.xxxxxx.com/exchange/, on the htc I had to drop the /exchange/.  So my server info was webmail.xxxxxx.com.  And when I would sign on using webmail my user name was domain\user, but on the htc I used the domain field for my domain and the user field was just my user name.

Oddly enough, I did the PRL etc and it works! Go figure.  I have no idea why that would resolve the issues.

I tried all the steps and still cannot get mine to work.  Keeps saying "This server requires an encrypted SSL connection".  I then will get " Cannot connect to the Exchange Server".   On the instinct I was not able to get it either, but for some reason it worked great with the Pre...  Not sure what I am doing wrong..

The good thing is I still can check my exchange email through the Browser.  Just wanted it to sync like it does with my aol and gmail account..

Hey. I tried the stuff rckozma recommended but mine still didn't work. I got all the info from our IT guys. I had no problem setting up my Instinct. Any other ideas to get it to work?

Thanks!

Just an FYI, after doing all that stuff again (in order), it says "Error. Authentication failed. Please verify username and/or password". I know both of them are correct. Any ideas?
