Paying for apps - how to?

You don't send the payment over the phone when using the Marketplace and almost all app installation goes through the Marketplace app on the phone. What happens is you setup a Google Checkout account from your computer, yes, Google Checkout does store your cc info. Then, when you buy apps, your cc is charged but you are not entering the info over the phone or giving it directly to the app developer. I heard the other day that the new Marketplace will allow for Paypal payments.
