HTC Hero - QWERTY keypad wont turn.

Okay, here's my delema. I seriously just bought the Hero less than 48 hours ago, and when i go to text, and turn the phone sideways to use the full QWERTY keypad, it wont turn. It just stays on the upright keypad, where it is too cramped for me, and make alot more mistakes. It can't honestly be broken can it? Hasn't been dropped, so i don't know what happened. Tried to re-calibrate it, even shutting it off a few times. In all cases throught the phone it wont turn. Not just when trying to text.

Hi Meggo, try this:

From your home screen press menu>settings>sound and display> towards the bottom under display settings there is a checkbox next to Orientation, which enables your display to automatically sense the rotation.

If this is already checked and it is still not working, then that is beyond my expertise sorry!

Not every phone app allows for landscape QWERTY to work. Make sure you read the user guide. Page 17 confirms what I mentioned above.
