New to the site! Also new HTC Hero user

I'm having trouble locating my downloaded ringtones.  I'm using an app called Mabilo Ringtones.  It tells me to look under my downloads from the home page.  I have no clue how to find my downloads.  Help please!?!?!?!?!  Grin

I grabbed a program from the android market called ringdroid a few days ago. It will allow you to make a ringtone out of one of your mp3 files, and apply it as your default ringer if you so choose to. As I recall, the program saves the rintones in the sd card.Grab a file manager program like Astro, then go to media/audio.ringtones, and there they are. Hope this helps. BTW, both of these aforementioned apps are free.

I'm new to the HTC Hero (coming from the Instinct). There was a ringtone that I was using on my Instinct phone, and the ringtone came from myxer. I'm wondering if I go to myxer.com and find the ringtone I am looking for, if I can just download it and then go into the settings area and apply the newly downloaded ringtone to be the default ringer or if I need to add an application to the phone first.

I'm new to the HTC Hero phone but i've tried using the ringroid application from the market. When I change the ringtone or whatevers it skips the whole time its playing. Is there another application anyone else knows of that i could use possibly?

I dowloaded Audacity, http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ , to record shows on my laptop, but I also use it to chop down songs for ringtones. It's really easy to use.

Then I use http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/ to send it to my phone or just hook the phone to the computer and upload it.
