I just recently got my htc hero about 2 months ago about and i just got a 8G memory card and i was wondering how i switch my settings or what not or even if its possible but for when ppl send me a picture how i can save it straight to my sd card because when i choose the option to save it saves into its own folder named downloads. If anyone could help i would very much appreciate it thank you!

As far as I know, there is no setting to tell the phone to save received pictures to the sd card. When you get a picture hold your finger on it (I think a short tap will open the picture in the viewer and a long press will open a menu or vise verse) you will see a menu and one of the options is Save to SD card. You have to do this for each picture. If you don't, when you delete the text  the pictures will be gone.

there are a few apps that automatically save mms to your card. i dont like them but they are out there.
