I am struggling to find an answer please help;

I have a HTC Hero, it currently shows firmware version 1.5, software version 1.0.0A6288
I am on Orange.

My wife has a hero on 3, she has regular messages asking for her to install upgrades, in a year I have had nothing. Her phone has a different version now and works great.

I cant get facebook pictures on my phone or the newer market?

I have tried to find a way of installing the relevant upgrade and am getting nowhere??

Help anyone?

try to change the hero's date one year ahead and see what happens
