has this been confirmed by other Sprint Hero owners?  Any reference you may have would be greatly appreciated.  This is one of the 3 main hurdles that has kept me from making the leap..

Do you mean an external side button?  I personally am glad.  I'm clumsy for having such little hands and I hate accidentally turning it on when i don't mean to.  Especially with the fact that you have to kill apps you open.
