When i disable the auto backlight,   it keeps dimming,    my wanting to use a brightness app,  but its not working,      any help please

wanting to have a low setting & a high setting. NOT WORKING   :-(

You have probably done it correctly but make sure that you have put a check in the box. If the check is not in the box, then auto backlight is on.
