Hi - I'm new to this forum and Android phones so if this is a really obvious question forgive me.  Also, I posted this in the "intro" thread because it is my first main question and I couldn't find an answer.

Can anyone tell me about the calendar feature on the Hero?
Does Google Calendar work automatically with the phone?  Can you display multiple calendars the way you can online?

Or are there any good (free or otherwise) Calendar apps?   To be honest, I use google calendar(s) all the time, but I don't love them.

My first smartphones were Palms, having morphed to phones from organizers.  They stunk at email, so I switched to Blackberry, but I was very spoiled by Palm's calendar, and still miss it.  The Pre brought Palm back, but not enough, and I just couldn't do the Pre, but if you've seen it and looked at the Calendar you might know what I mean.

I would love an app that could integrate my google calendar or iCal information but look good, let me color-code things like Palm used to, and allow me to print things up by day, week, month, etc., like Palm as well.  *sigh*

Thanks for any info..!

Yep, Google calender sync with the phone. Everything Google syncs with this phone because Google made the first Android phone and Google is still very involved with certain aspects of this phone. As far as other calendar apps, there are over 10k apps in the Android Marketplace so I am sure that there are many devoted to calendars.

If you are still looking for a calendar app, search TouchDown in the marketplace. The app is called Exchange by TouchDown, It has a 5 day trial period. It seems to have what you are looking for.
