Negri Electronics is selling a GSM Hero that is compatible with AT&T 3G. Is anyone here using it, and if so, would you care to share your experience?
Thanks.

Yeah, well can you use it with T Mobile and AT&T since it's unlocked, basically you can use it on any network, even though the phone is not available through it, nah? i dunno, anyway on a side note, why in the world is T Mobile getting the Google (HTC) Nexus ? (google phone) i tried t mobile service, i was not that impressed.

Given the chance, I would have no problem switching back...but Sprint has the best plan for me (and this time around, Sprint has been more than agreeable both with service and customer service). I would venture a guess that one of the reasons the Tmo is getting the Nexus is because they had the first Android phone, which means they already have an established relationship with Google and were very willing to work with the terms that Google has set forth for this phone. Even if Google sold this phone outright there would be no chance of you using it on Sprint.

right, cause google phone will be GSM/SIM CARD, SPRINT IS CDMA, well as far as the "Mobile Network" Sprint is way faster than T-Mobile's 3g at least around here in Branson, Missouri.

Thanks for all the responses so far!
What I'm trying to find out is users' experiences (if any) with buying from Negri and 3G use with AT&T with a Hero purchased from Negri. My understanding is that Negri is the only source for AT&T 3G compatible Heros in the US, although there are many sources for GSM Heros that won't work on AT&T's 3G network.
(I might just wait and get a Nexus, but I really like the HTC Sense UI, which I don't think Nexus will have, will it?).
Thanks again and I hope everyone has a healthy and prosperous 2010!
JC

I've done some looking and it is being said that the Nexus One might not have Sense because it is not an HTC branded phone. Here's one article from December 14th. It seems that Google is running this show... http://www.electronista.com/articles/09/12/14/googles.flagship.has.major.interface.changes/

Yes, I've found a couple of other sites that tend to confirm this, unfortunately. JC

Yes i believe most of the phone will be GOOGLE's input more than anything, but it is still HTC making it, so i would assume it has Android and HTC SENSE, has anyone here experienced Samsung's TouchWiz ? Oh and i have not seen another here running on AT&T, only Sprint, they all have there own version's i'm sure, magic, dream, droid eris, mytouch...etc...

HTC does make phones that are not Android. From the information that has come out about the the Nexus, it is not going to have the Sense UI. However, that should be confirmed today after the Google Event.
