Does anyone have confirmation when the Hero will be introduced in the US, and what carriers will support it?

Thanks.

Hello I went to the Sprint store here in NYC today..The Salesperson said the HTC Pro 2
would be released Sept.3rd and the Hero October..That is the date most people have
He said it would be with Sprint would will be introducing a 4G network soon..
I hope this helps and is correct..

Thanks.  I was under the impression that the Hero would be GSM, but perhaps it won't be.  There is a lot of conflicting information on the web about this device, especially its US configuration and system.

Apparently the Hero will be exclusive to Sprint from what I'm seeing.

I will be buying an unlocked GSM Hero to run on ATT.  I realize it won't be 3G, but I won't go to Sprint and they screwed the  CDMA Hero, IMO.

Well, I've been a Sprint customer for almost 9 yrs and planning to be around for many more thanks to their good service, good prices and the Hero. I think the new Hero is sexy.

By changing the form factor.  But more importantly I need a GSM phone for overseas travel.

Haha. To each his own... that's the only reason i'm considering this phone, because they dropped the funky chin.  Smiley

Hey - Z -, glad to see you over here... still hanging out in the Instinct-Samsung site?

I think the chinless Hero is much better looking... Now it won't feel as if you own a Jay Leno phone  Grin Tongue

I've decided to bite the bullet and get an unlocked GSM Hero and just put up with the lack of 3G.
