Hi. Thanks for the welcome. First email received on my Hero  Grin.  Tomorrow is my first week.
? The instructions for Silence All and Vibrate seem to be the same. I want to Silence All with its icon showing. How? Thanks.

Thanks for using the manual! When you use the rocker switch on the left side of the phone and silence everything (except media) a 4 point diamond will appear in the notification bar at the top of the screen. You can also silence all by going to Menu, Settings, Sound & Display, select Silent mode. This will have the same outcome.

Thanks for the reply. Found that it was an old recurring event. A short between the keyboard and back of chair. Cheesy Turns out after reading your reply that what I was doing was pressing too long and that was it. Short clean presses work each time.

Actually the four point "diamond" is a phone with lines on the side to represent vibration.   Kiss

Yeah, silent actually looks like a musical note or something...good thing the original poster is using the manual and not relying upon my jacked up descriptions.

I have always been a bit perplexed as to why silent comes before vibrate when you toggle the menu. Every phone that I have ever had, silent is the last option. If you aren't paying attention you will pass silent and freak when you're phone vibrates in a meeting.
