HTC Hero - picture messaging

I am not able to view picture messages.

What do l need to do? Is something wrong with my phone?

Well I found out that WiFi will keep the photos from downloading. To anyone having this prob just turn off WiFi.

My problem now is were do these go after opening? I got them opened and they were there for a very short time then they were gone. They are not in my conversation anymore and I cannot find them. Just the message with the pic is missing.

You ask a very good question. I don't seem them in any folder within Albums. When I long press on the image, I am given the option to "Copy attached to SD Card". So, perhaps we have to manually save each one.

I found if you are using Handcent the pics will save in the directory "handcent/download" on your sd card. If you goto your albums you will see them in a download folder. If you are using the stock messaging app, I don't know, I don't use it.
