Since this is a Hero specif site am curious if anyone else agoninzed over these two products.  One has the QWERT keyboard and an extremely illuminous view - while the other is lighter, looks a tad better with the cleaner lines, and offeres more variation with some of the customization.

So, since most of the folks here chose the HERO I would appreciate the reasons as it would be helpful.

This site was certainly useful in eliminating everything but the Droids.

So, Boosted, are you suggesting the Moment over the hero?  They both seeme like good products as I was originally going to get a Blackberry.  Sprint has offered me any phone of my choic at no cost due to a customer issue...How about the HTC Touch Pro 2 - I want to use the same email address as Yahoo, get emails from our office account - we do not used MS Exchange or Outlook, want a decent music plaer, and the ability to both review and edit documents like word and exxcel.

Those are the reasons I went with the Hero.  Never tried the Moment, never wanted to.  I personally don't like the slide out keyboards on any phone.  They just seem cheap to me and it is something else to break.  I really liked the Sense UI that the Hero has.  Seven screens over three, easy decision for me.   I had too much bad luck with Samsung devices over the years and I will not buy another.   This is just my opinion the Moment might actually be a great phone, just not for me.   Cheesy

I am a proud Moment owner i will say that the slide is not cheap(rare find in a slider phone)  only problem i will admit to really is Samsung itself..HTC has a better Google backing and a much larger development comunity. I will say that we are growing but not sure if we will ever get Samsungs required cooperation. that being said. the screen is freaking beautiful, decent camera, the flash is very bright (even can be used as an awesome flashlight) the keyboard is intuitive once you aclimate to it. My best advice is to hit a Sprint store and play with both phones scour this forum,Samsung moment forums,SDX-Developers, and the XDA forums (predominately  for HTC phones) wish you luck with your search for yuour next phone and hope ive helped.

*I will admit im a little biased toward the Moment since im a mod over there at SMF*

I would go with the hero. The keyboard on the moment is a little awkward in my opinion because i had the lg rumor before my instinct, and that was a very comfortable keyboard. So switching over to something so awkward would be sort of weird for my fingers. If you go to the store and physically try out each phone like i did.(i was torn between the two phones just like you were) If you go you will notice that the hero has a much more sensitive screen and easier to use, but the moment does have a flash, which is very useful, and a much brighter screen. good luck chosing
