Greetings fellow Android converts. As a US Sprint customer, my options have been mostly limited to WinMobile, Blackberry, and Palm. Not interested in blackberry ... although i currently own a Palm Centro ... although it is a reasably good phone, i have not been suitably impressed with the OS or freeware apps . Yes i said it FREEWARE. There ... WinMobile had the market cornered! My mogul was a wonderful little computer ... despite the frequent need for soft resets ... but a really cruddy phone. When i read about Android i got all excited ... but ... alas no phones on the Sprint network.
Enter the HERO ...
My heart is all a twitter and anxiously awaiting Oct 11 ... hoping to learn all i can about android before then ... so i can get my little hands dirty!!

Hello, All I can say is that "I can't wait for this phone to be out!" Although I did feel that way when the Palm Pre was coming out. I got the Palm pre........I loved it; but hated it! It did alot of things and was short on alot of things. I currently have the Htc Touch. I love my phone except, it is true there is alot of soft resets. Wish it had 3.5mm jack, better camera, larger screen, Wifi, a keyboard that was easier to use, more apps (like games), and was just a little quicker. All of this will be in the NEW Htc Hero. So I can't wait. I have been watching this phone since before the UK release. I just hope that it works like they say! How about the new plan that Sprint has out. Well it is not a new plan; but an addition to the simply everything data plans. The Any Mobile, Any Time. Is that awesome or what. The sprint lady that I talked to told me that home phones use the internet not land lines don't get charged either. Like magic jack, vonage, skype, etc. Heck I don't know anyone that still uses land lines other than businesses. Oh, just a little plug......... I have the Magic Jack.......IT IS AWESOME! Thanks, Marc

Hi there,
I've had my HTC Hero for just under two months now and I've never had so much fun using a smartphone, it really is that good, and to think I was going to buy an iPhone, not because I wanted one but because everyone else had one.
I am so glad I didn't.

Hi all, I've had my HTC for about 2 weeks, and already I'm having so much fun. HTC hero rocks man. But, I find a few things which I think HTC Management can improve on. 1) Upgrade the bluetooth capability (I just can't seems to pair with any device, and there is a time limit when u turn your bluetooth limiting your usage. What is that for man? ) 2) HTC Hero is not compatible with most common video format. I've tried loading many video with different formats but the Hero is just not showing? Come on, HTC Management. Please do something about the above. Don't make me regard not getting an iPhone instead. I want to continue to love my Hero. Love u all Mike.

Hi, I'm Adam. I'm thinking about switching over to the Hero. I have Instinct which is an okay phone. Does the Hero have the visual voice mail and google maps intergrated with the gps like the iPhone?

Hello. Just picked up my Hero about 4 hours ago. So far I am liking it, but I am also still playing with it. I like the feel and looks of it, not what I expected, but much better.

I feel you man I got mine yesterday, and it looked smaller than I anticipated, but when I got it in my hand. Believe me it was awesome.
