I drowned my Hero way back in July.   A sad day.   I dried him out and sadly no response.
My daughter suggested a new battery.   That worked.  However when the battery ran out my Hero would not recharge.  After being told by an big repair company that he was
BER I asked that he be returned to me.  He duly was returned on payment of £12.00.
I took him to my
"little phone man" in my local town.  He tested my phone with a new battery again and yes it worked with no loss of any features.   I bought an external Hero phone battery charger with two spare batteries and now I am all set to live in Harmony with my Hero!  It is a nuisance changing batteries when they run down but the upside is that I never have to leave my Hero at home because I have not charged him....I can always have a spare battery in my purse.
A happy ending to my sad tale. Smiley
