not a hero user yet

Hi all. im about to switch service providers and am having trouble making a decision. i am coming from att to sprint and have had an eternity for the last two years. the decision i am having trouble making is which two phones to get on the sprint network(one to replace my eternity and one to replace the girlfriends impression) i know that the evo? is coming out next week but i dont think i can justify spending two hundred dollars on a new phone) we were looking at the android options from sprint, namely the moment and the hero. any input will be appreciated thanks in advance.

i wouldnt say its dead. i had the tritan and although new phones came out some of us still got on the forum. i learned alot about changing that phone to the way i wanted it. i'm learning how to root my hero so i can change the roms and software on it. cant wait .. just afraid to take the step in case my warranty doesnt cover any mishaps i may make. lol..
