Robert here.  I had the M800, loved it until they did the roll back a few months ago and I lost the pdf viewer.  Lucky for me, my status with Sprint allowed me to do the 2yr upgrade at 1 yr (although I probably would have dished out the $500 on this phone anyways).

Welcome to the new forum. I loved my instinct also, but I was getting tired of the updates taking everything away. The brew OS wasn't getting as much love as it was supposed to. The developers on the instinct website were great but this phone is more full featured.

ITs John here. I'll hopefully be making the switch this holiday season. I'm gonna wait and see how the phone is doing. I definitely want it and will keep up with the forum.

Guys, the instinct feels like the playschool silly phone in comparison.

I don't know, I guess for what it was and how much it was, the instinct rocked.  Full web browser and easy to use.  It did have its quirks, which seemed to get enhanced in one way or the other everytime they did an update.  I think they were so involved on fixing the issues, both the ones it started with and the ones they created trying to fix them, that they had no time for any real apps.  Well that and not openning it up to outside developers to play with.  I was also on buzz about wireless, but mostly as a lurker.

As for cost, not real sure, as I did get a case for it and a couple of other things at the same time, but I would have to guess that it would be around the $193-$200 range depending on your taxes.  And as soon as my BB gets the invisible shield for it I will be getting that too.

It was instant for me, nothing to mail in BB took care of that.

I thought about getting the shield as well, but realized my hero fits perfectly in the instinct leather case it came with and the screen is really resistive to scratches as it is!

Hey all.  Got the Hero yesterday and I'm obviously still playing with it.  So many functions, it's insane.

Someone mentioned that the Instinct really was great for it's price and I agree.  It did a lot and kept me happy...then "things" continued to happen.  Time to upgrade and what a great idea!

Have fun everyone!

You don't know me and phones.  Drop tests have nothing on me Smiley

I don't abuse them, but I do work, and I don't baby my things.

I woke up this morning and decided that I was tired of waiting for Sprint to fix the Instinct series. I loved the HD especially because it had a zero learning curve. However, I have had the Hero for about 3 hours and it is amazing. Does what I want it to do when I want it done. However, the learning curve is huge. I am a bit annoyed that my Sprint Contacts are gone....they apparently won't/can't sync to this phone so they just disappeared when this phone was activated. UGH.
