I have had my Hero from Best Buy (69.99) for 4 days and I love it.  I didn't want to part with my Instinct but wow I am glad I did!
So many before you have said the exact same words. When we had the Instinct and the Instinct HD we thought it was a great phone but once we got our hands on the Hero there was no looking back!
I remember being tempted to buy the newer instincts when they came out, but I guess I was still too scarred from my experience with the original to want to take that leap.

ooouuu i can not wait....in a few hours my brother and i will be saying goodbye to our Instincts!!! He will be getting the Moment for Christmas and I will be getting the HERO!!!! The instinct-samsung.com forum was a big help for getting me through those hard times so i hope this forum will be just as helpful even though this phone needs no help!!!

Former Instinct owner here...and I'm glad to say FORMER!  Now I can actually watch tv and football without massive "ghosting" going on, I can tell what the image is that's running across my screen...sorry, it's the little things that make me happy.  Anyway, hello to all, love my new THC..er.HTC Hero!

You know, in all honesty, I have not even tried the sprint tv app on my Hero. I used it occasionally on the Instinct.

I think I've used the TV app once to keep a kid quiet. There are too many cool apps to be bothered with Sprint's less than stellar TV lineup. I'm not blaming Sprint, I'm just sayin'.

Had an s30 for about a year, for a "smartphone" billed as an iPhone killer, it was sadly disappointing. I've had my Hero for about 2 months now, love it. Wife got an iPhone 32gb, S'ok, but I have so much more freedom with the Android platform, not to mention better coverage w/ Sprint vs. AT&T. So far the Hero can do everything the "crapple" phone does & more. I even have iTunes Playlists on my Hero thanks to iSyncr app dl'd for FREE from the market.  Grin

Love my Hero, anxiously awaiting 2.1, or the Evo 4G, whichever comes 1st.  Tongue

I STILL have my instinct (unfortunately) Cry   Im just saving up a little extra money so that i wont be broke by the time ive finished paying for everything when i buy the hero. Does anyone know when the price is going to go down?? this phone has been out for what seems like plenty of time for them to drop the price a little bit at least.  When that new Evo comes out, they better be dropping some prices on other phones so we can actually afford to buy a new phone without and upgrade eligibility.

Get the phone at Best Buy. You don't have to deal with rebates or anything. So, worst case the phone is 179.
