Reportedly, this phone is faster than some laptops, and is "Quantum" based.

This is true. I really hope you're right, that's a sweet looking phone. The one thing I wonder about, though, is because it won't be carrier specific, is will we have to pay full price or not?

Nah.. i'd say it will be business as usual as far as that goes. They subsidize the cost of the phone for 2 years of your indentured servitude.(well not exactly servitude, but maybe phonitude)

Yeah this looks sweet, and i would not be surprised one bit if in the near future, Google buys a company or opens there own and call it "Google Wireless" if there gonna manufacture phones, and is much as there growing, who knows ? maybe not, but a definite possibility.

well bnice, if it's an unlocked phone, i would think anyone on any network can have this as long as it becomes CDMA available and not just GSM. not just 1 carrier will have this, the phone will be sold and you put it on whatever carrier you have , AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, etc

So, does one wait for the Google phone and return a recent Hero that he bought for his wife?

I read an article about why Google and others cell phone manufacturers steer clear of making phones and offering the service. Google the topic, I am sure you will find it.

NO NO NO NO NO, LOL, ABSOLUTELY NOT, you keep that phone, and give it to your wife, not to mention i have recently read, it will be available only through T-Mobile, it seems like T-Mobile wants to get their hands on everything first, trying to expand as far as i know they don't even have towers, they run off AT&T's, but no you still give your wife the Hero, it's pretty much the best phone sprint has, i personally have the hero, but i do like the Samsung Moment too, hope this helps, and anyone with info on T-Mobile, would be appreciated.
