Sprint just made it official. We are getting the Nexus One and it might be subsidized. I can't wait until they release more details. If I can get it for less than 200, I will be moving on and not waiting for the Supersonic.

I got super lucky when I bought a phone and returned it during the 30 day period. I had to call and get the Sprint rep to change my contract renewal date back to the original date. A few months later,  I bought the Hero and my contract renewal date didn't change. Then, a few months ago I got the email about extending my contract for 2 years for a $70 credit. I said ok, has never happened. So, my contract expires in a few days and I'm eligible for the phone credit. I consider the Hero my trial Android phone. I paid 129 and compared to what I've paid for phones in the past, I'm good with buying another.

I would like to wait for the Supersonic but I'm thinking the Google phone will always have the latest updates because it's Google's. Not like this Hero update. I applaud HTC and Sprint for giving it to us but this has taken forever and I would bet that when Android moves to the next version, HTC and Sprint are not going to keep updating these phones and I don't blame them.

Yeah your lucky! I want a nexus one sooooooooo bad! But I guess my hero will have to do for now. I rooted it, so right now I'm running 2.1 on it and it works great!
