The camera coud be a little better. Some of my pictures are very blurry. Maybe it's just me not being steady enough. Not a big deal for me since I really don't take too many pictures.
download the app fun cam, its icon is a rainbow colored looking camera lens. It has an auto focus along with some other options.

The Hardkey layout isn't one-handed friendly. Unless you're left-handed you've pretty much got to be a contortionist to work the dang things. I mean, why would you put the power/wake key on the very lower right hand corner? Unless I use 2 hands, it makes me feel like i'm going to drop the phone when I turn it on. The back key is right beside it. Same situation. I've gotten more comfortable with it, but it's still probably gonna be the deal breaker for me.

Yeah it gets a little uncomfortable, and alot more handsets are using that space in the same way.

ok the battery issue and the missed text messages are starting to really annoy me. I know there will be a fix for the battery issue, but the missed text messages are starting to really get to me. I can send out fine but not receiving all my texts. The more I research the more I hear that this is a HTC brand issue. I want to Love this phone.....

Yes the battery could be better, I'm finding myself charging it every day even when I am not doing much on the phone (texting, downloading, internet etc.) So far it is marginally better than the Pre's battery. But I still love this phone!

The battery could be an issue for me, since I use the phone 5-7 hours every day. But I often have to plug it in while talking, and so also in the car on long trips (I am on the road 40% of the time). As long as I keep the two cords with me, I am okay.

Yes I agree the camera does suck but there is a way to tweak it. Gimme some time to find the link or it might be here at the bottom of the forum.
