It's under camera options.  Turn off widescreen and change your ISO to 400 or 600 either one.  It made it a little better for me, but heck ill try anything
I made these adjustments and the camera did seems to be a little better at focusing. I also started using the Camera Magic app.

found a workaround for your battery issue... get handcent SMS... and turn off notifications in your messages.... handcent replaces the messaging features of the phone and doesn't require constant data streaming meaning less battery usage. Also... turn off weather and such when you're not using it... these widgets take up battery power.

NOW... can someone tell me how to select all my mail or at least filter out all the junk?

Where does Camera Magic store photos? I see Gallery but it keeps crashing and won't let me in. I've also checked albums and the pics I think I am taking aren't there.

I haven't had the issue of call waiting, or three way calling. The accelerometer will be faster as soon as HTC and Sprint release donut.

What is donut?

So, now that eclair is out, can you download it and update the Hero?

not until HTC and Sprint push it to the phone.  the rumor is that they will skip 1.6 and go strait to 2.0 when HTC wourks out the bugs with the sence UI

eclair and donut are "in the business" references to the operating system that the phone is running... donut is 1.6 and eclair is 2.0....  similar to references to IBM's use of star trek metaphors during development... OS/2 was labled "warp" and "piccard" and so on.

developers like giving cute names to their software.

the video quality of this phone is really really poor. i try to watch videos via youtube and they are SOOO choppy and unclear that it is painful, i can't even make out what is going on half the time. I am really really dissapointed with this, the hero was my replacement for my wifes Iphone and its not really holding up agains it in this aspect.

what i dont like is when you click to dial a number from the browser there is no option to save, only an option to call. Sometimes I dont want to call the number, i just would like to save it.

So, my pictures were being saved by camera magic but now I've got nothing. I emailed them and they said look in SD/Camera folder. Nothing new is there. They have also acknowledged that with the latest update we are getting the forced closed error. Oh well, I still keep it on my phone because it resizes photos that I send in text messages.

I still haven't figured it out either. But, if you are interested in resizing pictures, download the free Adobe Photoshop that was just released. IT's great. My only complaint is that I can't killl it from running. ATK kills it and it immediately starts again.

As far as the camara goes, if you take the auto focus off, the pictures won't be so blurry; hope this helps.
