Unfortunately, from my experience over the last year of owning this phone, I most definitely have more cons than pros.

Overall, the phone is just slow in response in every application. I have I regularly stop unneeded task and try and keep as most memory cleaned up in the hopes that it would speed up this phone.  It does not seem to matter one way or the other.

It has always amazed me when I have gone into a corporate Sprint to check out different phones and compare their features on line, that I can never find a single phone that has everything that I want. I would think that the manufacturers would race to offer the phone that has everything that a consumer wishes.

This phone cost me close to $400 through Sprint.  In my opinion is overpriced even with the $150 upgrade.  I will not purchase another phone through Sprint.  I will just purchase whatever phone that I want on line. I would have sold this phone after about 2 months, but the paint rapidly chipped off of the arrow button next to the end button.

The thing that I noticed from the get go that bothered me and still does immensely, is the track ping pong ball used for the camera button, unbelievable. It seems that the designer had no intention of using this phones 5 megapixel camera. It is difficult to snap a picture when you practically have to the hold the phone with 2 hands in order to keep your fingers out of the picture. The other settings or features of the camera are lame, especially not having a flash. My Sanyo M1 has many more camera features plus flash. After a picture is taken, it takes way to long for the camera to be ready again. I do not like the fact that you have to toggle back and forth between the pictures and gmail to add additional pics as an attachment.

While, texting it takes 2 or 3 times to actually hit successfully the "p" key. The copy message text does not work. I should be able to save messages or lock messages to prevent from accidental deletion. This is so basic and should be allowed.

The settings for the phone features are disconbogulated.  It takes to long to find the setting that you are trying to change.  Hell, I sometimes forget what I am looking for because it takes too long to find a setting that I had previously changed, but now want to change it back. It really bothers me just thinking about how much time I have lost over trying to find this or that, or hanging up on people or apologizing that my phone had called them by itself from my pocket or where ever. I do not want to use the lock screen because the phone is too slow.  It doesn't even acknowledge gestures without using the lock screen unless your fingers are squeaky clean.

It should not be so difficult to find a phone contact.  It takes 5 steps to find a dang contact phone number and I believe 2 more to make a call. Adding shortcut to desktop is useless.

The HTC hero built in help is minimal and not very thorough. I like that most of the apps downloaded from the market are free.

The battery discharges really quick when on standby after a fresh charge.  It last longer if you use the phone more than on standby, (What kind of sh... is that)?
Overall this phone has been very disappointing and I would not get another one of these.
Its is so slow and is a constant source of frustration in my daily life.

I think cell phone manufacturers should spend more time asking what it is the consumer wants instead of just geeking out a phone that is half-assed.

Thanks for letting me share!
