Had my Hero a couple of weeks now, like it more each day.  Yesterday I noticed I was having problems downloading from the market, I get "Starting Download" msg, then it just sits there & does nothing till I restart the phone.  Then downloads normally after reboot.  Not sure what's causing this.   Huh?

Also, when I click home button, about every other time it asks me to pick between the Sense UI & Home Widget, & set as default.  Pick Sense, set default, goes home, next time same thing all over again.  Sad  This started after installing an app called Android Mate, I've since uninstalled it, but the problem persists.   Huh?

Any insight appreciated!!!  FWIW, Phone & OS is bone stock other than downloaded apps & widgets.

Just my two cents, I select "Set as Default" and then select the interface I want to use.  If I select the interface first, the window closes before I select set as default.

If you ever want to change between Home and HTC interfaces, you go to "menu", "settings", "applications", "manage applications", "home". Then, select "clear data". This will clear the Home app from menu and then you will get the options window. Then, make sure you are selecting, "set as default" before you select the app to use.

Been clicking set as default 1st, will try clearing home data as you suggested, thanks!
