Yeah there was alot more, but I was inbetween shopping with my wife and didnt want to keep typing while trying to drive.  needless to say he drank the apple kool aide.  I am sure he regrets it, but he will never admit it.  It cost in too much, $250 or somthing out of sprints contract, plus what $40 some bucks a month more for service.

It was all in good fun, and it was fun. Grin

Don't think he was venting I think he was agreeing that the con thread has more posts and that the phone is not that bad. At least that is how I read it

I wasn't venting just pointing out the fact that the cons are numerous and the praises were less than half that. I guess a lot of people just want answers to the questions they have, not to socialize. But I like what I see out of all the members and that includes the moderators

Let me clarify for everybody that missed the boat. Smiley Alot of people come to this forum to get help with their phones. Those people usually don't go to the other boards to post their opinions. They just want the answers to their questions. To all the members that like to socialize, like the people, and have valuable input, are the ones that I am giving my praise to.

There will always be more vents than praises.  It's just the nature of forums like this. Wink

I've had this phone for three weeks now and I'm still amazed. The browser is quick web pages look great and flash lite.  I went to the arcade section at the top of this page and was able to play many of the games there.  I love being able to completely customize the UI and truly make it my own.  Apps, I have about 45 and they were all free. Long live the hero!!! Lol

I have almost completed week two with this phone and I still think that it is amazing. I am not going to say that there aren't some issues but when I compare it to previous phones that I have had, those issues are not really issues.

The customization of this phone is awesome. The fact that there are seven screens to customize as I choose is an advantage over several other android phones. I also love that we have apps that are useful and so many of them are free. These apps are great because they have provided a workaround for some of the issues that I have experienced with this phone. I love being able to hit the Home button to go back and forth between the last 6 apps that I have accessed.

I love that music and Pandora play flawlessly in the background. I love having the Amazon Music Store and not Sprints. Now, if they would just get Slacker going for Android, my life would be complete.

The Notifications page is nice. It has taken a bit of practice but I am getting used to sliding the page down, viewing an email, sliding it down again and viewing my next email account instead of coming out of each account and going into the next one.

Finally, I love that this phone never locks up. I am not saying that it doesn't get a bit sluggish or confused if I screw up but it has never frozen. I would prefer that apps start to crash than having the entire phone lock up. This way, I still have some control over when/how I perform a restart on the phone. When apps start to crash, if I need to make a phone call or check my voice mail I can still do that and then restart the phone at my convenience.

I can't wait for next year because I believe that as new android phones are released, the screens are going to get a little bit bigger and that is all that I am wishing for - oh yeah and 2.0.

i will say, for all the questions and gripes i've posted, i wouldn't trade this phone for the world.  I will charge this phone 8 times a day (ok not really) if i have to!  I can't keep my hands off of it.  I'm a chick so the aesthetics please me, but i'm a huge HUGE gadget freak, so the open, custom OS plus all the free apps you could want (i have yet to buy an app) is enough to make me drool.

As i said in my original "hi i'm new here yadda yadda" posting i've been watching this phone since the release in the UK, including watched any and every video review, read countless articles and stalked this board for a couple weeks before joining.

I have yet to be disappointed.  My iPhone friends are very skeptical about the longevity of this phone, but one thing they don't realize is that in order to update the OS, we don't have to buy a whole new phone.  Isn't that awesome?!?!? As a former BB owner i'm in heaven.

I have to say this is the best phone I have ever played with. I am constantly comparing this in side by side tests against Iphone guys. Flash Lite, usable widgets, removable storage, price, and data speed were all victories for the hero. They had .1 inch advantage on screen size and tap to zoom (waiting for eclair to fix this one).
