Have you tried a full reset? Maybe that could work.
Yep, still no root access and not able to root it again. Oh well, it's not a huge deal and I'm sure someone will solve this problem in a minute.

Yeah, just keep your eyes peeled over at XDA.  I'm sure someone will find something.  If I see anything I'll post it here for ya.  So when you mean no difference do you mean no difference than the last leak? Or no difference than other phones with 2.1?

Thanks. I don't see a difference from the last leak to this one. I think there are some differences between our phone and the others such as, I am not getting the new menu at the bottom of the screen that changes the way the phone, application, and add to home icons appear. But I do have Google Navigation now Score!

this leaked version is insane, though im still wondering how come i cant turn off default messaging when i checked it to turn it off.  Its annoying because I am using handcent and every time a message comes in, the default message pops up as well, very annoying.  Cant wait for the real update lol

Scratch that, I figured it out during my last re-install as it was driving me insane!  Some Exchange servers require passwords (manditory digit passwords) to access the server, this is not the same as your username/passwords etc.  If you enable exchange email on your hero and your server requires this extra security, it will over ride your pattern password etc and make you enter a digit password every time.  If you delete your account you will get your pattern password option back again upon the next reboot..
