I am trying to find out how to add a notification tone to my text messaging that is not in the default bank,but rather one of my own? Is this possible??

Welcome to the forum.  Smiley

Create the directory;

MEDIA/audio/ringtones/notifications/alarms

on your SD card, and put all of the sound files in the alarms folder. Now any of those files you put in that folder can be chosen for a ringtone, notification, or alarm sound.

It's very simple to add wav or mp3 sound as your sms notification. First of all, you need a micro sd memory card or similar one. Then, open your desired sound with its options,in the option you will find that, set as sms or ringing tone and then select. Hopefully, you get a way to have it.
