I have a hero, and when i get my notifications all i hear is a beep. I would like to change this to a song. I downloaded a app called ZEDGE, downloaded a ringtone, and set it to defaulf notification, but iy is still not working. Can anyone help me?

you go into settings, sound and display, phone ringtone, then you choose it there. Now if you are asking about having a song ringtone for text messages then i cant help you there. im still trying to figure that one out myself

I have the same problem,  I down loaded two ringtones from phone zoo and did save one as a ringtone, but the other one I wanted for incoming texts and I want to download one more for voice mail. Will be watching if anyone can help me too.

I finally found a way to do it!
go to the market and download an app called rings extended.  you can do all of the stuff we've been asking about in this thread

You can also download a new texting app like handcent and it will let u do that and resize photos. It's way worth it, it has a lot of better features.
