I need help!  I dropped my phone about a month ago and it unmounted the SD card without "safely unmounting" it and now the phone will not recognize it all!  I've tried restarting it, resetting the phone to defaults, reformatting the card then restarting the phone, plugging it into the PC and restarting the phone, and leaving the phone on and reinserting the SD card.  NOTHING so far has worked and I don't know what else to do.

Can anyone give me any other suggestions?  Please....I'm desperate, I need my contacts and calendar, and docs and can't work off my phone without these.

I'm having a similar problem. Not sure what caused it (didn't drop or remove without unmounting) But couldn't access my SD card at all. I pretty much tried all of the above but didn't want to format the card because I had pictures and stuff that wasn't backed up.

What I did was hook my SD card up to my comp, through a cable (not through the phone). I attempted to copy all of the files over to my PC to back them up but had a error reading the card..ah hah! So I copied every folder one by one until I came across the one that wouldn't copy, for me it was the "Layar" folder, which I don't need because I deleted that program anyway.

So I copied the rest of the files over to my PC. Then I formatted the SD card through the computer, copied the files back onto the card (of course minus the Layar folder) popped it in and BAM, worked perfect!

Not sure if this will work for you, since the card is already formatted but it's worth a shot. At least hook it up to your computer (not through the phone) and see if there is anything left on just the card.
